Particiting students

The Educational Project that we have been able to enjoy is part of the call of a grant sponsored by the MECD in collaboration with the Council of Castile and Leon.

It has among many other objectives the following ones:

• To understand the Environment as a result of the interaction of the physical, biological, social and economic aspects through the study of the zone.
• To analyze the effect that human activities have on the Environment from a study of the surroundings.
• To develop critic and constructive attitudes among the students tosolve environmental problems.
• To educate the young in the enriching use of their free time and leisure, making the most of the possibilities of the habitual surroundings of their life.
• To live together with students of another region.

In this way many activities are developed, which are lived intensely in the short week in which they are developed:

• Itinerary of Villardeciervos.
• Itineraries by the closest surroundings (Celtic Castrum, dam, river bank...).
• Routes (Natural Park of the Lake of Sanabria), arribes of the river Duero.
• Orientation workshops, slogans, popular games, simulation "distribution of recourses",....

We can also emphasize evening activities such as animation games, astronomy, story tellers (dramatization and staging), talk with a forest ranger...

The activities are carried out in big group (fifty students), medium group (twenty-five students) and small group (twelve or thirteen students).

The Educational Team is formed by four teachers and the Principal of the Centre.
