Mediterrània High School takes part in European projects since year 2000/01. During the present year it's taking part in the Comenius Linguistic Project with the title " Tourism and Youth: a European approach ".
The Comenius Linguistic Project is part of the European Programmes Socrates , addressed to secundary education. It is an association of two European high schools, in our case " Mediterrània" High School , in Benidorm and Istituto Magistrale Statale "Rosina Salvo", in Trapani (Sicily), in Italy.
This project contributes to improve the quality of education by carrying out creative and innovative activities, with the support of the information and comunication technologies, and finishing with a visit to another European centre.
This association lasts one academic year in which there is a mutual exchange of students and teachers of the two associated centres. The exchange lasts fourteen days in which the students have the opportunity to live with a student from another country and his/her family. This way they will get to know their culture and practise their language. It is also an interdisciplinary project that will produce some didactic materials to be exchanged, with the aim to elaborate a file of common work in which teachers and students participate.
